#AbioyeSpeaks: SPEAKING WHEN IT MATTERS
This is a guest post from a very good friend of mine. The article is a spiritual one that resonates with me and I'm sure you will resonate with it too.
Proverbs 17:27-28
27 "He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.
28 "Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding"
"Sometimes it's better to be quiet and be thought a fool, than to speak and clear all benefits of doubt" - Seun A.
This quote and the bible passage are in complete harmony. A man of understanding is characterized by two things;
1) Few words
2) Excellent spirit.
Zig Ziglar nailed the essence of this post in his quote "The funny thing about people who talk too much is that they have nothing upstairs". Few words and excellent spirit goes hand in hand. They follow a basic rule..."If you don't have anything important to say, shut up and observe...and seriously people would ask you of your opinion".
It just works. Infact you would be thought to be very wise and of an excellent spirit after u've spoken because you've virtually listened to all they've said and put it eloquently in a good summary, drawing out the basic conclusion.
Prov 15:23 said "A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: a word spoken in due season, how good is it!"
When you speak at the right moment; it becomes a good word. Speaking when it matters most also makes you feel good and smart. Even if you don't know anything about the subject being told; relax and listen to what all of them have to say..then draw a smart conclusion that gets their heads all nodding. Doesn't mean you are smarter than they are intellectually; but shows a your understanding on a basic biblical tool for the wise in heart!
Action point: Act on this quote I got from a friend: "Become a detective of the right moment; sniff out the spirit of the times, the trends that will carry you to power." Right moment speeches carry power!

#AbioyeSpeaks: Who Are You? [Guest Post]
The article below is spiritual (not religious in anyway) and it resonates with me. The article was sent to me by a very good friend of mine. I hope it resonates with you too....
"And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?" [Acts 19:15]
Reading your bible is non-negotiable as a Christian or else you'd be oppressed, beaten and battered by the enemy. You have to know who you are, your standing in Christ because that's what gives you the authority to use His name.
In [Acts 19:13-15] it was clear that the sons of Sceva didn't have any identity in Christ. Examine the statement the evil spirit said in verse 15: "Jesus I know and Paul I know; but who are ye?". The evil spirit even gave them an opportunity to talk about their standing by asking "Who are ye?".
But they obviously didn't have any standing and obviously no answer, they simply copied Paul. The end result was clear in verse 16. They enjoyed the beating of their lives.
In our daily lives, challenges would come asking this same question "Who are ye?". YOU EITHER HAVE AN ANSWER OR GET A BEATING. There's no mid-point. It's high time we started studying the scriptures consistently.
ACTION POINT: Start from a daily study of the word to build a strong sense of your rights and privileges in Christ.

#FaraSpeaks: A Very Short Article On How Mosquitoes Kill Dreams
When the word came up my head, I remembered some scenes in the movie 'HOTEL RWANDA' which was about the war of attrition between the Hutu and
Tutsi that led to ethnic violence with a lot of causalities... Thousands of people were massacred, reminds of the Nigerian civil war.
But this article is not about the Hutu and Tutsi neither is it about the Biafra - Not that they aren't significant though. This article is solely dedicated to mosquitoes. Yes, mosquitoes (I'm not crazy. OK maybe I am).
Mosquitoes aren't just a jeopardy to our health - agents ofdarkness malaria and all. They can make you go through hell (literally). But seriously, Mosquitoes are crazily annoying. Just when you think you are (temporarily) free from your crazy boss at work and lay on your bed to sleep (and probably dream about that sexy secretary at work), these blood sucking demons appears out of nowhere and suck the hell out of you. And what even irks me more than their painful bites is the annoying noise they make.... Can't they just suck my blood in peace?
Mosquitoes are annoying creatures. And we have some set of people in our lives that behaves just like them. They don't seem big or so physically present but they can mar our lifetime and destiny. They don't encourage us or push us to create things that matters.
All they do is make noise and suck the hell out of our dreams. They tell us our dreams are not realistic. They tell us our goals are too big and impossible. And the funny thing is that you don't even need to open the doors or windows for them to come in, they just do. They make us slack and unproductive.
For you to be able to take charge of your life and be productive, you need to identify these "mosquitoes". Thenget a gun and shoot their brains off get rid of them by; (a) Ignoring their advice (b) Surrounding yourself with those that will bring you closer to the person you intend becoming.
You deserve a good sleep for a great dream and a good health/concentration to make it big in life. You need a world devoid of unnecessary distractions- you have a handful already.
Eradicate all the mosquitoes of your life and have a mosquito-free life.

#FaraSpeaks: Physique vs Insique
![]() |
That "beach body" I may never have |
This however, isn't a wrong mindset because their male counterparts
are just as crazy about these things, as they are. It is not uncommon to see guys 'doing
the lifting, push ups, sit ups road jogs, skipping and sorts of exercises just
to stay in shape and be 'attractive'.
I will confess
that I am a little bit jealous about the fact that I don't have the 6 packs. And I have made series of attempts- worked out, even prayed and fasted but it appears I am not destined to have a perfect beach body.
I have even tried all sorts of diets all to no no avail... All I do get is anything but extra skin or muscles (Yuck! do not pity me though).
So lets go back to what I was discussing before I took the left turn.>>>Many people are good with their 'physique' but know nothing about their 'insique' ( Insique has not been invented yet. but for the sake of this article, it means -inner looks). Insique is a magical word I coined to define the looks of your mind.
If you take care of your physique, you will look healthy, sharp and attractive like athletes and models. But if you don't, you will go to hell lose it.
The same thing happens to your 'insique'. In fact you need to pay close attention to your insique.
If you don't exercise your mind, feed it with the right ideas and thoughts, counsels and discussions like food and drinks at the right time and in the perfect environment, you may grow 'in- sick'
Keep an eye on your physique but always WATCH your 'insique'
